Bluegarde, The Finale, Session 3
Well, we ended up back where we started but in our own bodies. According to the annoying but slightly useful DeEndy, we were in another reincarnation of the same room. As we search the room yet again, we find the words ont he wall have changed. Now they read, "Your undoing will be your greed. Our crest you're a gaze." No clue what that means. I'm sure we'll find out. In the meantime, I better be careful.
DeEndy says that this area was build by 7 gods. The pantheon gods, minus Dorthalo. We are to be tested here to see if we are worthy. There are other warriors from other times here at the same time we are trying to prove themselves as well. They shall all fall.
As we exited the room, we found ourselves faced with 3 trolls. Instead of fighting them, Helja offered them a wheel of cheese. After convincing them it was edible, we were allowed to pass. Hidden along the wall, we found a hidden passageway that seemed to have been attempted before. How do I know? Well, there were skeletons on the floor that looked to be armed to the teeth and not from this area. The room had not path to the other side and the floor was covered in spikes. I believe it was supposed to be a test of agility, but who knows? We found a way to beat it without almost killing ourselves. We have phoenix to reach the other side and (repeatedly) push the button that provided a pathway above the spikes below. We managed to recover the weapons from the corpses. I got a gun of some sort. I don't recognize it. Unfortunately, it's currently broken, but I hope to get it repaired. We found another secret room on that wall where we played some sort of balancing game against DeEndy. You have to remove stones from a tower and try not to knock it over. DeEndy never stood a chance.
After besting DeEndy, we headed back the way we came and once again bargained with the trolls for information. This time it cost us another wheel of cheese and a bone necklace. Those fools gave us information about our quest. We are to defeat the guardians of the gods. After defeating each guardian, we will get a key. Collect the keys and you prove yourself worthy. Doesn't sound so hard.
We found the first guardian. The guardian of Wellewyen, the god of water. Except it was a guardian. It was guardians. Two chuuls. Disgusting creatures to look at and annoying to fight. Not the brightest creatures though. Bekellet killed the first one and Nyx killed the second as it tried to run away. Overall an easy win. I hope the others prove to be more challenging.
TLDR: We beat traps using our brains, beat DeEndy at a game, and killed some monsters.
